Quizity - Quiz Video Maker

Quizity is designed as a local-first creator tool. Your quiz projects, imported media, and most editing data stay on your device. We do not operate our own backend server, but we do use trusted third-party services from Google for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, subscriptions, and app configuration.

1. Information we collect

We do not directly collect traditional account-profile information such as your name, phone number, contacts, or precise location through the app itself. Quizity does not require account creation.

However, the app does process several categories of data depending on how you use it:

  • Content you choose to create or import locally: quiz questions, answers, end-screen text, selected images, logo files, uploaded audio, recorded voice clips, exported videos, and editing settings.
  • Technical and usage data from third-party services: anonymous or pseudonymous app instance identifiers, device and app information, screen usage, feature usage, crash diagnostics, advertising identifiers, ad interaction data, and purchase status information.
  • Temporary import data: if you use bulk import, the selected spreadsheet file is used only to parse rows and show a preview. It is not intentionally stored as project content by us.

Important: even though Quizity has no developer-operated backend, third-party providers such as Google may still receive limited data needed to provide analytics, crash reporting, ads, subscriptions, or configuration updates.

2. Local storage and on-device processing

Quizity is built to keep most creator data on your device.

  • Project files and editor settings are stored locally.
  • Selected images for odd-one-out puzzles, end-screen media, and custom intro audios are stored locally on your device.
  • Voice cleanup, background removal, frame generation, and video export are performed locally inside the app.
  • If you save an exported video to your device gallery, it remains in your gallery until you delete it.

We do not upload your projects, quiz content, locally selected media, or exported videos to our own servers because we do not operate an app backend for this product.

3. Permissions and device access

Depending on the features you use, Quizity may request device permissions for the following purposes:

  • Microphone: to record custom intro audio for quiz or puzzle questions.
  • Photos, files, and media access: to let you pick images, logos, audio files, and spreadsheets from your device.
  • Camera: if you choose to capture an image directly from the camera during supported import flows.
  • Notifications: to show export-ready notifications or other app notifications that you explicitly allow.
  • Gallery/storage access: to save exported videos to your device when you choose to do so.

If you deny a permission, the related feature may not work until you grant that permission.

4. Third-party services we use

Quizity uses the following third-party services from Google:

Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand anonymous or pseudonymous usage patterns, such as quiz type selection, feature usage, export attempts, exports completed, and similar product events.

Google documentation indicates that Firebase-related services may use app instance identifiers and technical device/app data to support analytics and related Firebase features.

Firebase Crashlytics

We use Crashlytics to receive crash reports, stack traces, app version data, and related technical diagnostics so we can fix stability issues.

Firebase Remote Config

We use Remote Config to control app configuration such as pricing-display text, feature flags, and mandatory app updates. This means the app may contact Google Firebase to fetch current configuration values.

Google AdMob

We use AdMob to show ads to free users, including rewarded ads that unlock certain free-tier actions. Google states that the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share IP address, app interaction data, diagnostics, and device/account identifiers such as advertising ID for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.

5. Advertising and reward ads

Free users may see standard ads and rewarded ads. Rewarded ads are optional ads that, when completed, may temporarily unlock specific features or export allowances available to free users.

Premium subscribers are intended to receive an ad-free experience.

AdMob and related Google advertising technologies may use device and advertising identifiers, IP address, ad interaction data, and diagnostic information to serve ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud.

If your app is distributed in regions where consent is legally required for personalized advertising, you should also implement an appropriate consent flow in the app in addition to publishing this policy.

6. In-app purchases and subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your full payment card details in the app. Purchase processing, payment handling, subscription status, and related transaction operations are handled by Google Play.

Quizity may receive purchase state information from Google Play so it can unlock or restore premium access on your device.

7. Data retention, control, and sharing

Because Quizity stores most creator data locally, you can usually control that data directly on your device.

  • Delete projects and local media inside the app where supported.
  • Delete exported videos from your gallery manually if needed.
  • Uninstalling the app generally removes app-local data.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with third-party service providers as needed to run the app features described above, such as Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, and device/system sharing or file-opening actions that you initiate.

8. Children's privacy

Quizity is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support interaction, contact us and we will review the request.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app changes, legal requirements, or updates to the third-party services we use. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
